A funny tribute to our grandparents

I had to wait for a friend somewhere on a train station, so I decided to look around in the bookshop. A wonderful decision because I found this amazingly funny book of Bette Westera: Aan de kant, ik ben je oma niet! ( which means: on the side, I am not your grandmother ) The book shows us very funny poems about 12 residents of a nursing home. 2 Poems per character; one about the past and one about now. It shows us in a lovely way that older people lived a life and have their own stories to tell. It gives you a smile and the illustrations made by Sylvia Weve are a feast for the eye!
