A little tour in Normandy

Have you ever been to Normandy? It is absolutely pretty. A lovely mix of green and yellow fields, old castles, fishermen villages and lovely food. After Paris we did a little tour. Especially in spring Normandy is so pretty, decorated with yellow flowers every where. The garden of Monet is celebrating spring with lot's and lot's of flowers and some unexpected sun makes it totally perfect. You can make beautiful walks true fields and along the coast. Our first stop was in Giverny.

And we stayed in this cosy chambres d'hotes, La Reserve, nearby the gardens of Monet. The breakfast is beautiful. And the hospitality of the owners is great, they help you to find those lovely markets and give you tips about what to do in the hood.

Next stop was Honfleur, a little colourful village with a cosy little harbour. Some great secondhand shops, lovely food and an icecream, there's nothing more you need right?

Big white cloud blossom trees EVERYWHERE!

One night we stayed in Chateau la Grande Noë. In the south of Normandy about 1 hour driving of Paris, you'll find this old castle, as if nothing changed in the past 600 years. We had round room, decorated with antique of the family Longcamp ( who still live there for generations long) The owners are adorable, friendly and tell you everything about camembert ( he's was a camambert maker), wine and the castle. Of course accompanied with a glass of wine, a fire and a smile.

And we will definitely return for their amazing treehouses!!

Oh my, in every corner of Normandy they have their own camembert specialty. Mmmmm and especially this little heart. How sweet, a camembert made with love!
